Copyright & takedowns

Last updated July 2, 2026

Homer Pulse hosts business photos, descriptions, and community-submitted content. If something on the site infringes your copyright, tell us and we'll deal with it quickly — usually within a couple of business days, not the legal maximum.

How to send a takedown notice

Email hello@homerpulse.com with the subject "DMCA takedown" and include:

  • A link to the material on homerpulse.com you believe infringes
  • A description of (or link to) your original work
  • Your name and contact information
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you're the copyright owner or authorized to act for them
  • Your physical or electronic signature

What happens next

We'll remove or disable access to the material while we look into it, and we'll notify whoever submitted it (when it came through a submission). If they believe the removal was a mistake, they can send a counter-notice with the same contact details and a good-faith explanation, and we'll evaluate in line with the DMCA's process. Repeat infringers lose submission privileges.

A note on directory facts

Business names, addresses, phone numbers, and hours are facts — facts aren't copyrightable, so takedown notices about those will be declined (though we're always glad to correct them). Photos and written descriptions are fair game for a notice.
